You can also disconnect the Bluetooth from the other device to prompt a connection.

Sometimes, your headphones may not be plugged in all the way, so try that first. If you do, they could be using the mic instead of Zoom. Using Zoom on mobile is super convenient, but sometimes you forget to check the proper permissions when you set up a new app.

If connected, you should hear a little chime when unmuting and muting yourself. Have tried the above suggested steps and I can’t still get audio on my Bluetooth speaker from zoom. I’m using an android mobile. Is your Bluetooth speaker reconfigurable by your device? If so, should be recognizable by Zoom as well. Are you able to see the little speaker icon.

I have the same issue and also use an ipad. As you can see from the screen shot there is no speaker icon. How do I connect to Bluetooth using the iPad zoom screen please? I’m having exactly the same problem. Around December it all broke. I have the speaker button, the phone speakerphone works, but when I switch it to BT it just comes out the phone earpiece.

I’m trying to use it with the same BT headphones. The headphones are connected and I can play music and make phone calls through them. My phone Samsung Note 20 ultra was updated recently and is running Android I just completely uninstalled Zoom, deleted all the data, and reinstalled it.

I’m having the same issue exactly as described. Android Zoom app refuses to send audio to any bluetooth speaker that doesn’t have a microphone. It would be much better if I could listen to presentations, large group meetings, etc.

I hope Zoom people can understand the rationale for this request and fix the app so it can send audio output to an external bluetooth speaker. It behaves exactly as they describe for me too. As this screenshot, you can see Zoom does connect via Bluetooth, however, the audio still comes out from my Android phone, Pixel 3 XL, rather than my earphone. Definitely not unique. View solution in original post. This would be using your integrated speaker and microphone. Have you also tried any USB mics or speakers as well? Leaning towards something to do with your bluetooth. RN I’ve had this same problem for weeks now even after:. I log into Zoom early before morning meetings to try to prevent it and the audio will work perfectly when I test everything, but as soon as I click “join audio” on a call, it crashes.

I’ve also done a lot of research, and this is a common problem not just one person who didn’t update their windows. Please help. I hope there’s a fix I haven’t found yet. I have the same problem. I had no issue with Win I tried various types of bluetooth devices and they all crash Zoom and Youtube.

It looks like a Win 11 issue. I too am having the same issue, i have tried different Bluetooth headphones. I have the latest version of Desktop Zoom for Windows Version: 5. I have the same issue and my PC is brand new. IT has had me install and reinstall Zoom.

I’ve connected and reconnected my bluetooth headsets, but Zoom will freeze if I connect with them, even after joining the call. Sometimes it doesn’t recognize my speakers at all so then I have to join via my phone which takes a couple of minutes so I miss some of the calls. Frustrating because I’m not that inept with technology and it does seem to be a software issue, not a user issue as I’ve read several threads just by Googling, spanning multiple years. Has this issue been resolved yet? I have not been able to fully use zoom due to this issue, and it only happened after I received a zoom update.

This same thing happens when I use ear buds for my iPhone. I have to press Settings and turn off Bluetooth. It appears the use of these new technologies aren’t ready for prime time. More research and development is needed. I been using my bluetooth headset for almost one year with same laptop configuration. No problem at all.
